Description

Department of State, Office of Acquisition Management intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with GTSI Corporation, 3901 Stonecroft Blvd, Chantilly, VA 20151. The requirement is for 200 Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) modified to operate in a sensitive-but-unclassified environment. The contractor is uniquely qualified to provide a specially modified Hewlett Packard iPAQ H1935 PDA. The H1935 is designed in a fashion that allows synchronization by cable only. The device shall be configured to run a proprietary management software application which will allow central monitoring of PDA?s as they access the Department of State Intranet system. This PDA with its strong security methods will provide the Department the opportunity to establish a proof-of-concept of both user functionality and security of network-integrated hand held-held devices.
