Description

POINT OF CONTACT FOR SPECIFIC QUESTIONS RELATING TO THIS PROJECT IS MS. KAREN WILLIAMS AT FAX NO.: 251-690-2902. QUESTIONS REGARDING DISTRIBUTION OF PLANS/SPECIFICATIONS SHOULD BE DIRECTED TO THE PLANS ROOM, MS. SONYA WHITE, AT 251-694-4343. In ge neral, the work shall consist of construction services for repairs, renovations and construction, with design capabilities, primarily in support of Comalapa Air Base, El Salvador. Other US Federal Agency sponsored projects in El Salvador may also be suppo rted by specific task orders under this contract. The proposed contract will be an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract including a base year and four option years, each year with a maximum of $1M for a total contract value of $5M. In dividual task orders under the contract will range from $80,000.00 to $1M. Two (2) contracts may be awarded on this solicitation. A pre-proposal conference will be scheduled at a later date. A bid guarantee, in the form of a firm commitment, e.g., bid bond supported by good and sufficient surety or sureties acceptable to the Government, postal money order, certified check, cashier's check, irrevocable letter of credit, or, under Treasury Department regulations, certain bonds or notes of the United State s, in the amount of $6,000.00 is required to be submitted with the bid. Bid documents available on or about 30 Jan 2004. Contracting Officer for this project is Mr. Gene L. Curtis. For this job, a small business is defined as having average annual recei pts of less than $28,500,000.00 for the past three years. (North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 236220). PRIME CONTRACTORS PROPOSING UNDER THIS SOLICITATION MUST BE US FIRMS, EL SALVADORIAN FIRMS, OR JOINT VENTURES BETWEEN US FI RMS AND EL SALVADORIAN FIRMS. Bidders, subcontractors, and Dodge Plan Rooms are required to self-register their firm or office on the Internet. Those registering are responsible for the accuracy of the information on the mailing list. Registration must i nclude the firms' physical address, telephone, a valid fax number and a point of contact. Registration should be completed one week prior to the issue date. All notifications of changes to this solicitation shall be made through the Internet only.
