Description

This solicitation is unrestricted. The NAICS Code is 236118. The work consists of renovate and improve the interior and exterior of Building 15, Liversedge Hall, including refurbishing existing and new bathrooms in approximately 118 rooms, removal of existing radiators, and upgrades to other selected areas: The work will require demolition, asbestos and lead paint abatement and new construction to provide new finishes, electrical, fire alarm, heating and air conditioning, toilet restoration, and incidental related work. The construction must be phased to accommodate activity requirements. The Contractor shall provide furnished temporary office trailers with power, water, and sanitary for the duration of the contract. Estimated cost range for this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Estimated days for completion will be phased with 390 calendar days plus 15 days for administrative for a total of 405 calendar days. The phased completion schedule will be detailed in Specification Section 01140N, Special Scheduling Requirements. Liquidated damages will be based on each phase. Plans and specifications and other bid documents will be available on 26 January 2004 at the ESOL website and can be downloaded by going to http://esol.navfac.navy.mil. There will be no paper issuance of this solicitation. Bid Opening will be at 2:00 PM on 26 February 2004 at the Officer in Charge of Construction, Building 2004, Mann Hall, Barnett Avenue, P.O. Box 1855, Marine Corps Base, Quantico, VA 22134-0855. Bids can be mailed or hand delivered to this address. No Facsimile Bids will be accepted. All technical inquiries must be submitted in writing to LockettDR@efaches.navfac.navy.mil. No telephonic technical inquiries will be accepted.
