Description
The Fifth UAV/UCAV Payloads Conference will be sponsored by the Association of Old Crows in cooperation with the Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics (DUSD/AT&L). The conference will be held February 11-12, 2004 at the Army Research Laboratory (ARL), Adelphi, MD. The overall classification will be SECRET, U.S. Only. The keynote address will be given by the Honorable Michael Wynne, Acting Deputy Under Secretary of Defense (AT&L). The theme of the conference is "UAV Payloads for Full Spectrum Operations: DC to Daylight - RF to Heavy Metal." Five sessions are planned. The first, "Making UAVs a Reality," will include presentations on Operation Iraqi Freedom Lessons Learned, the OSD UAV Roadmap, and Service/Agency UAV Roadmaps to include the Department of Homeland Security UAV Roadmap; and Deep Water UAV Programs. The second session, "Persistence Surveillance, Tracking, and Rapid Engagement," will focus on SIGINT, ELINT, MASINT; GH Radar and EO/IR; FOPEN ACTD; and MTI Payloads. The third session, "Network Enabled Information Dominance" will include presentations on Active EW Payloads; Communications Payloads; UCAV Concepts and Payloads; Payload Delivery Concepts; the Global Information Grid (GIG); GIG Payloads; Interdependent Operation Enablers; Data Management Strategy; and Intelligence Effects (e.g. DCGS, NGA, NSA, etc.). The fourth session, "Small UAV Payloads," will include briefings on DRAGON EYE; Army SUAV Programs; FPASS, Raven, and Pointer; Gun-Launched and Mortar Delivered UAVs; Silver Fox; and Scan Eagle. The fifth session, "Application of Air Power," will include briefings on AT3 ACTD; HACN; JUCAS Payloads; Navy 2.75" Rocket Program; Payload Delivery Concepts; Army Payloads (medial resupply and Viper Strike); and Predator Weaponization.
