Description

SOLE SOURCE NOTICE - The United States Coast Guard, Civil Engineering Unit Juneau intends to award a sole source purchase order to Alaska Electric Light and Power, Juneau, Alaska for the relocation of their existing 750 kVA transformer at USCG Station Juneau. The vendor will remove the existing generator and install it at a new location to accommodate future construction at the Station. Work includes trench excavation and backfill, demolition of concrete slab, removal of existing cable, underground installation of new conduit and cable, and reinstallation of the existing transformer and meter. The anticipated award date is mid-February 2004. Work to be completed by mid-March 2004. This notice is neither a request for proposal nor a solicitation of offers. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
