Description
Furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for BUILDING 22 IMPROVEMENTS including BREEZEWAY ENCLOSURE & ANT LA/LB MODULAR STORAGE BUILDINGS & BOAT PORT including, PRE-ENGINEERED HAZARDOUS STORAGE BUILDINGS, at ISC SAN PEDRO. The work includes, but is not limited to, the following: (A) Remove and dispose of existing wood grid/trellis beams, steel tube columns, and existing metal gutters. (B) Remove and dispose of the existing concrete masonry walls, Battery room door, frame and hardware. (C) Provide new wood roof joists and plywood roof over the existing breezeway. Provide new tapered insulation over the new plywood sheathing and remove and dispose of a portion of the existing composition shingle roofing, to allow installation of the new tapered insulation. (D) Provide new metal stud partitions and gypsum wallboard for the new corridor areas and the new lounge. (E) Provide a new window on the new west exterior wall of the new lounge area, to match the existing windows. (F) Re-route existing fire sprinkler riser drains to outside of the enclosure. (G) Remove and dispose of existing post indicator valve (PIV). Disconnect and remove existing electrical supervision. Replace existing underground valve with new pipe spool. (H) Provide new packaged terminal heat pump (HP-1) for the new lounge as indicated. (I) Provide new 4? reduced pressure detector assembly and fire department connection as indicated. (J) Relocate existing icemaker. (K) Install new metal studs, insulation and gypsum wallboard. (L) Remove and dispose of the existing trailer on site for the new modular storage building. Move the existing Con-ex box, to the existing buoy storage yard about forty yards distance. (M) Install a new modular storage building. (N) Provide the new Boat Port structure, over the new concrete slab. (O) Provide new pre-engineered, pre-fabricated, haz-mat storage buildings to house the new paint storage building and the new petrol storage building. (P) Provide electrical power and lighting as specified and shown for the new heat pump and building modifications. The period of performance is 75 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. This procurement is estimated between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00 and is a small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this procurement is 236210. Size Standards is $28.5M. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Our office no longer issues solicitation or amendments in paper form. Any amendments issued to this solicitation will be posted solely on this website. This solicitation can be downloaded from the http://www.eps.gov on approximately 28 January 2004. If it does not appear on that day, please check back daily. The due dates for bids will be approximately 27 February 2004. This date is estimated and may change. For security reasons all Coast Guard drawings are only available through the Federal Technical Data Solution (FedTeDS), which will have a separate link on the FedBizOpps web page, identified as Technical Data Package. Offerors will need to register with FedTeDS and receive a user name and password to be able to download Coast Guard drawings. All responsible sources are encouraged to respond. ATTENTION Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs): The Department of Transportation (DOT) Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
