- Description
- VISN 3 Business Service Center intends to establish a contract for Outpatient Colonoscopy Screening. The VA Medical Center, Northport, NY is soliciting proposals to establish an outpatient colonoscopy-screening program. The goal of this program is to offer our enrolled patients the opportunity to have colonoscopy screening studies that are timely, well coordinated, and performed in a setting that is optimized for patient satisfaction. The general overview of this plan is for studies to be arranged by the VAMC staff and performed by VAMC Gastroenterologists, using a contracted outpatient site and contracted assisting staff. Successful should include parking, handicap-accessible entrance, and sufficient space for pre-procedure interviews and procedures, the colonoscopy itself, and post-procedure recovery and discharge education. Space must ensure patient privacy and be within 5 miles of the Northport VA Medical Center.
