Description

The 11th Contracting Squadron intends to solicit for Language and Area Studies Immersion (LASI) training services for the Air Force Foreign Area Officer Program Proponent Office. The anticipated date for issuance of the solicitation is 30 Jan 04. A cost plus fixed fee contract is anticipated for a performance period of five years plus one five-year option. The Air Force intends to fund this requirement incrementally. Services are to include transportation (within the guidelines of the Joint Travel Regulations), tutoring, lodging, meals, language instruction (with materials), embassy visits, and excursions. Immersions will be conducted in countries around the world, including but not limited to Argentina, Armenia, Bahrain, Brazil, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Korea, Lithuania, Morocco, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Slovenia, Spain, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine, and Vietnam. When the Air Force determines that immersion in the overseas environment is not possible, the immersion will be conducted in a suitable domestic location. The NAICS Code for this acquisition is 611630. The size standard is $6.0 million.
