Inspection, Preventive Maintenance, and Repairs of Low and High Air Compressors and Air Dryers for Various Buildings at the Naval Complex, Newport, RI General Information Document Type: I= Invitation For Bid Solicitation Number: N62472-03-D-8538 Posted Date: 30 Sept 2003 Response Date: 30 Oct 2003 Classification Code: 43 Set Aside: Small Business Set-Aside Contracting Office Address Department of the Navy, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Engineering Field Activity, Northeast, ROICC Newport, Naval Activities Building #1, Newport, RI 02841-1712 Description The Government is seeking interested sources to obtain services to perform inspection, preventive maintenance, and repair of approximately 23 low and high pressure air compressor equipment, air dryers, controls and related systems at various buildings at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC), Newport Naval Base, Newport, RI. This will be a combination Firm Fixed Price and Indefinite Quantity FFP/IDQ contract. The contract is for a base period of one year with four one-year options. The NAICS Code is 333912, The size standard is 500 people. The solicitation will be issued as an 8(a) set-aside. The approximate solicitation release date is 30 September 2003. All service technicians shall be at the Journeyman level at a minimum, and be familiar with and trained to operate, maintain and repair the equipment to be serviced. All Safety plans, preventive maintenance schedules as well as other required documentation will be submitted as outlined within the specifications. All documents will be in Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) file format via the Internet. The free Acrobat Reader, required to view .pdf files can be downloaded from the Adobe website. The official access to the solicitation is via the Internet. The website address is http://esol.navfac.navy.mil. Contractors are highly encouraged to register for the solicitation when downloading from the NAVFAC e-sol website.
