Description
This acquisition will cover CVC Helmet Pad Set Fitting, NSN 8415-00-163-9041, quantity: 4,290 ea; CVC Helmet Attachment Kit, NSN 8415-01-207-1196, quantity: 3,946 ea; and CVC Helmet Strap Assembly Chin, NSN 8415-00-163-9052, quantity: 1,849. This acquisition will be issued on an unrestricted basis. FOB Destination New Cumberland, PA and Tracy, CA. The Pad Set, side (right and left), size small shall be in accordance with find NOS. 7 & 8 of drawing 8-2-617, Revision C, dated 04 Nov 1994 and CECOM Drawing A3206617, Sheet 3 sated 9-25-98 and MIL-H-44117A and Amendment #1 as applicable. Adhesive-item No. 13 of drawing 8-2-617 shall be ?Uniroyal? Inc. No. 6102 or equal. Polyurethane film (0.015 Thick) ? item No. 12 of drawing 8-2-617, shall be ?Stevens Molded Products? No. MP-2080-5-03 or equal, color natural or gray. The Attachment Kit shall be in accordance with item No. 4 of drawing 8-2-601 and applicable portions of MIL-H-44117A and Amendment #1. The Kit shall consist of the following: Attachment Strip, 1 ea.; adhesive pack, 1 ea.; paper id & instruction label. Adhesive-item No. 13 of drawing 8-2-617 shall be ?Uniroyal? Inc. No. 6102 or equal. Polyurethane film (0.015 Thick) ? item No. 12 of drawing 8-2-617, shall be ?Stevens Molded Products? No. MP-2080-5-03 or equal, color natural or gray. The Chin Strap Assembly shall be in accordance with drawing 8-2-603, dated 29 March 1978 . Repair parts for CVC Helmet, shall be in accordance with applicable portions of military specification MIL-H-44117A, dated 22 December 1986 and amendment 1 dated 6 March 1990. First Articles are required (5 units) for each NSN, inspection shall be at the contractor?s plant. First Articles will be approved after visual and dimensional examination and after testing in accordance with specification MIL-H-44117A, dated 22 December 1986 and amendment 1 dated 6 March 1990. Waiver of First Articles Approval will be considered upon request on an individual basis. First Articles will be required 60 days after award and delivery will be required 120 days after award. All material is contractor furnished. See numbered notes 9, 13, and 26. Availability of solicitations, FAR 5.102(d) applies, as our office no longer issues solicitations in paper form. Offeror should register to receive notification of this solicitation. Copies of this solicitation can be found on the DLA Procurement Gateway at http://progate.daps.mil/home AFTER February 2, 2004. From the Gateway home page, select ?Search RFQs? from the left-hand sidebar. Then choose the RFQ you wish to view. Amendments to this solicitation WILL NOT be available via the Gateway. In order to receive notification of amendments to this solicitation you must E-MAIL the Contract Specialist, listed below under Point of Contact, with the name and address of prospective offeror, phone and fax number and a point of contact. Please reference solicitation number in all e-mail correspondence. An unsuccessful offer may result if prospective offeror FAILS to e-mail the Contract Specialist of their intent to offer on this solicitation. In addition, you can enter DSCP C&T FSCs and NSNs to receive notification of RFQs. The Gateway will send all registered users an e-mail notification of RFQ solicitations based on your FSC and NSN profile. The NSN notification will contain a link that can connect users directly to a digital copy of the solicitation on the Internet. Important Note on Foreign Content The Defense appropriations and authorization acts and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as The Berry Amendment impose restrictions on the DoD?s acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally, Clothing and Textile items as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7012 and ?specialty metals? (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7014) must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies.
