- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District has a requirement for the above subject. This is not a Solicitation Announcement and not a Request for Proposal and does not obligate the Government to any contract award. The purpose of this sourc es sought is to determine interest and capability of potential Small Business concerns to perform as prime contractors for this project. Responses to this sources sought will be used by the Government to make an appropriate procurement decision. It is requ ested that you review the attached Scope of Work. If you can meet ALL of the requirements for this project, please respond by Mail to: US Army Corps of Engineers, Attn: Mr. Kenneth Adams, Deputy for Small Business, P.O. Box 1229, Galveston, Texas 77553. No later than 29 January 2004, the following information is requested: 1.Name of Firm w/address, phone, fax, e-mail address, and point of contact. 2.State if your company is a Small Business, HubZone, or 8(a) concern. 3.State experience/references with th is particular type of work. 4.Please indicate whether your firm will submit a proposal for this project if this requirement is set-aside for Small Business. Please reference General Planning Services in submitting your response. Scope of Work General Planning Services U.S. Army Engineer District, Galveston Texas and Louisiana I. Summary of Services. This indefinite quantity task order service contract is to assist the Galveston District, Corps of Engineers (CE) in the performance of general planning services in conjunction with various CE water resource projects within the bou ndaries of Galveston District, Texas and Louisiana. The contractor may also be asked to assist other Corps of Engineer Districts within the Southwestern Division under this contract. The contractor is to furnish all personnel, facilities, plant, equipmen t, materials, supplies, travel and services necessary to conduct any investigation and to prepare any report as specified in this contract and in subsequent task order(s). Services which may be ordered include: 1) description and documentation of water resource related problems in specific project areas; 2) formulation of alternative plans; 3) economic analysis; 4)hydrology/hydraulic analysis; 5) risk and uncertainty analyses;6) design of public involvement programs; 7) transportation analysis; 8) coas tal studies; 9) independent technical review; 10) performance of special studies; 11) GIS development and application; and 12) preparation of reconnaissance, feasibility, reevaluation and Continuing Authorities Program (CAP) reports in accordance with ER 1 105-2-100.
