- Description
- The Department of State (DOS) provides this notification to announce the upcoming solicitation S-LMAQM-04-R-0033 for the recompetition of contract S-LMAQM-99-D-0042 in support of the Department?s National Visa Center and Kentucky Consular Center. The DOS intends to issue an unrestricted, full and open competitive solicitation for a performance-based contract with a one-year base period and four one year option periods. The contract will primarily be fixed-price, indefinite quantity, however, it will contain selected contract line items which will be procured on a cost-reimbursable basis. The successful offeror will provide visa processing services for immigrant visas (IVs) and nonimmigrant visas (NIVs) at both the National Visa Center (NVC) in Portsmouth, New Hampshire and the Kentucky Consular Center (KCC) in Williamsburg, Kentucky. These sites are responsible for processing IV and NIV petitions, including, but not limited to, collecting, reviewing, and maintaining all documentation relevant to the IV process; generating all correspondence; initiating all background checks; and responding to congressional, attorney, and public inquiries. The contractor shall furnish all services, qualified personnel, and materials to perform the work described in the solicitation?s Statement of Work. A facility security clearance at the Secret level is required for contract performance. The Department intends to hold a pre-proposal conference in the D.C. Metro area for this procurement. Details of the pre-proposal conference will be released prior to or concurrent with the release of the solicitation. The solicitation is expected be issued on or about February 2, 2004 through FedBizOpps and at the Department?s procurement website, www.statebuy.gov.
