Description

This solicitation is being issued as Intent to Award on a sole source basis to Fitch Information, Inc., One State Street Plaza, New York, NY 10004 for the purchase of an electronic service that provides quarterly and fiscal year-end risk ratings for bank holding companies world wide in accordance with FAR Part 12, Commercial Acquisition Procedures. The U.S. Securities and Exhange Commission (SEC), Division of Corporation Finance (CF) requires an electronic service that provides quarterly and fiscal year-end risk ratings for bank holding companies worldwide based on data supplied by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and the Federal Reserve. The SEC may require and request more detailed financial information for a specific bank and its regional and national peer companies of the same size. The SEC requires the information immediately as it becomes available. The current service was custom-designed for the SEC. It provides risk ratings through e-mail with attached Excel spreadsheets and it provides peer group financial reports by facsimile transmission (fax). Interested parties are advised that no solicitation is available for this acquisition. Interested persons may submit a capability statement to chapmand@sec.gov on or before 3:00 PM EST January 20, 2004. The period of performance is anticipated to be for one base year, and 4 option years. Accordingly the SEC intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, Fitch Information, Inc.
