- SYNOPSIS: Contractor to furnish all necessary labor, materials, and equipment to upgrade the Direct Digital Control (DDC) System and perform miscellaneous mechanical work located at Building 102, U.S. Coast Guard Station Key West, FL. The work includes but not limited to replacing the mechanical equipment room outside wall louver, chiller C-1 evaporator chilled water piping in the penthouse, cooling tower pumping station, and retrofitting the cooling tower CT-1 with a new fan, motor, belts, bearings, and fan guard. Also, replacing five roof mounted reefer condensing units (CU-1 through CU-5) including their three weather enclosures, replacing and/or installing selected sensors and controls in mechanical systems, upgrading the building Direct Digital Control and monitoring system, and installing and later removing temporary cooling equipment to pickup the building cooling load and reefer cooling load during the construction period. The applicable North American Industry Class System (NAICS) Code is 238220. The small business size standard is a three-year averaged annual gross receipt of $12.0 million. Estimated construction price range is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. Bid, payment and performance bonds are required. Performance period is ninety (90) calendar days. Bid Opening Date is 2 March 2004 at 2:00 P.M. ET. Hard copies of the solicitation are not available.
