- Description
- The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to issue a full and open competitive acquisition for the services of a qualified contractor who can 1) train disability hearing officers involved in conducting due process evidentiary hearings and interviews which are sensitive to the principles of the process, as well as the requirements of the Social Security Act and the hearings procedures designed by the Social Security Administration, 2) provide courses for the managers involved in the hearing/interview process, and 3) develop training manuals and deliver training courses on due process requirements, including how to conduct hearings that are consistent with the principles of due process. The disability hearing officer course content will incorporate proper decision writing techniques. Training will be conducted at the contractor’s facility and nationwide using the Interactive Video Teletraining System at SSA’s training studio in Baltimore, Maryland. The period of performance shall be for one year from the date of award with provisions for the inclusion of four one-year renewable option periods. The NAICS code is 624110, with a size standard of $6 million. Solicitation number SSA-RFP-04-1006 is scheduled for release on or about November 17, 2003 for a firm-fixed price contract, with proposals due 30 calendar days thereafter. The solicitation will be available for downloading from the Federal Procurement website at www.fedbizopps.gov. HARD COPIES OF THE RFP WILL NOT BE MAILED. Telephone requests will not be honored and no bidders list will be maintained. Potential offerors are responsible for assessing the FedBizOpps website to check the status of this requirement and to keep current with any amendments that may be issued. Interested parties must respond to the solicitation in order to be considered for award of any resultant contract.
