- Description
- The U.S. Army TACOM, Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey is conducting a market survey intended to identify companies with a capability in Magneto Inductive Technology to conduct research, development, and engineering studies, and to provide cost-effective research, development, analysis, design and rapid prototyping for the Magneto Inductive Remote Activation Munition System Program. The system shall include an extended range antenna, auxiliary power pack for the MI-RAMs Receiver to obtain ranges out to 700 meters; a core antenna and loop antenna for mounting on a HUMVEE to obtain ranges out to 1500 meters and MI receivers mounted in artillery/bomb carriers and their related efforts during system evolution. Companies/sources who can provide a wireless remote command signaling system utilizing magneto inductive technology to provide command control, and communication capability for firing ordnance and functioning other types of equipment through all types of terrain are encouraged to respond to this notice. This includes both surface and subsurface mediums including salt, water, earth, stone and various structures to include metal and concrete. This effort shall be in support of various U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) and U.S. Army programs for Remote Command control systems, to meet military specific needs. Any interested sources are requested to provide a Capability Statement with respect to the requirements listed below, and include your company name, complete address, telephone number and a technical point of contact. The requirements include: a) qualified personnel experienced in MI theory and related technologies, b) DoD experience, c) demonstrated design, rapid prototyping and fabrication capabilities of Magneto Inductive elements at both the system level and component level is required, d) demonstrated ability to inspect and test Magneto Inductive transmitters, receivers, at the system ad component level and related devices is required, e) MI component and system level modeling and simulation, f)in-depth understanding of DoD technical requirements, and g)successful track record of contract performance in satisfying these requirements. This is not a Request for Proposals. There is no Solicitation available at this time. The purpose of this notice is to seek notices with existing capabilities as described above to meet the above requirements. Materials should be sent in MS Office format of less than 20 pages. Interested parties may submit questions relating to this requirement to the TACOM Picatinny Picatinny Center for Contracting & Commerce, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ, Attn: Mrs. Shannon Wagner (swagner@pica.army.mil), phone (973) 724-4152. It is requested this information be submitted via email. All information collected from this Market Survey shall be used for PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY. This Market Survey does not constitute an obligation on part of the Government. The Government will not award a contract on the basis of this Survey and will not pay for any information collected. It is requested that all Proprietary Data/Information be identified in your submittal. The Government retains the right not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice.
