- Description
- The Naval Facilities Expeditionary Logistics Center (NFELC), Port Hueneme, California has a requirement for the repair, overhaul, preventative maintenance and service of automotive vehicles, motorized and non-motorized construction equipment, material/weight handling equipment, and International Standard Organization (ISO) shipping containers. This competitive procurement is limited to eligible 8(a) firms certified for participation in the U.S. Small Business Administration 8(a) Business Development Program with the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 333999, Size Standard 500 employees. All other firms are deemed ineligible to submit offers. The contractor shall provide the necessary labor, supervision, tools, test equipment, materials, equipment, facilities, and management oversight to meet performance, cost and schedule objectives. The contractor?s facility shall be within three hours commuting time of the government?s primary equipment pick-up facilities at Port Hueneme, CA and Gulfport, MS. The Navy anticipates that a firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity type contract will be awarded for a base year and four one-year options. This requirement will use a Best Value Source Selection/Trade Off process. When issued, the solicitation will be posted in the SWDIV E-Sol website at http://esol.navfac.navy.mil. The website is free and provides instructions for downloading the solicitation. Prospective offerors are responsible for downloading a copy of the solicitation from the E-Sol website. A solicitation notice will be advertised on the FedBizOpps to identify when the solicitation will be released. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or about 08 March 2004. In accordance with DFARS 252.204-7004, all firms must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at http://www.ccr.gov prior to any award of a contract. See government-wide numbered note 9.
