- Description
- The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia (DSCP) is an Inventory Control Point (ICP) of the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), and is a combat support activity whose objective is to continue, and to expand, its use of unique and innovative approaches for providing focused logistics support for its military services facilities customers, as well as other authorized customers, for their maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) requirements. Proposals are being solicited for tailored logistics packages that, to the maximum practicable extent, will employ the techniques, advantages and economies of commercial business practices to reduce the total logistics cost to DSCP and its customers, and to provide rapid response, direct vendor delivery, advanced distribution, material management, total asset/in transit visibility, and information fusion, in response to, and in satisfaction of, DSCP's customers' demands, including surge requirements. Therefore, to the maximum extent practicable, the contract(s) resulting from this solicitation will integrate the business practices of the commercial and military supply distribution systems. Proposals are being solicited for an MRO Prime Vendor (MRO-PV) contract for logistics support of military installations, federal agencies, and other authorized customers located within the geographic area defined as the Korea Zone of the Pacific Region, which consists of the Republic of Korea (South Korea).
