- NOTICE OF INTENT TO NEGOTIATE A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON/SCHOOL OF AQUATIC FISHERIES (UW) FOR THE NATIONAL MARINE FISHERIES SERVICE (NMFS). PURPOSE OF PROPOSED PROCUREMENT IS TO ANALYZE PREDATOR-PREY DYNAMICS DATA AND PREPARE MANUSCRIPTS FOR PUBLICATION. PURPOSE IS ALSO TO DEVELOP STATISTICAL MODELS USING RADIO TRACKING AND PIT TAG DATA, ANALYZE ASSOCIATED DATA, AND PREPARE MANUSCRIPTS FOR PUBLICATION. THE UW IS A NAMED PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATOR ON A BONNEVILLE POWER ADMINISTRATION-FUNDED PROJECT THAT WAS PEER-REVIEWED AND AWARDED TO THE NMFS TO DISPERSE AMONG COLLABORATORS ON THIS PROJECT. THIS PROJECT REQUIRES SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND INPUT FROM UW INVESTIGATORS AND CANNOT BE COMPLETED WITHOUT THIS INFORMATION. THIS WORK IS ALSO A CONTINUATION OF PREVIOUSLY CONDUCTED COLLABORATIVE RESEARCH THAT THE UW INVESTIGATORS HAVE PARTICIPATED ON. QUESTIONS CONCERNING THE PROPOSED ACUQISITION MAY BE DIRECTED TO RANDALL BROWN. THIS IS A SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION WITH AN ESTIMATED VALUE OF LESS THAN $100,000. The Western Administrative Support Center, Acquisition Management Division, requires that all contractors doing business with this Acquisition Office must be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) before October 1, 2003. After this date, NO award can be made unless the vender is registered in CCR. For additional information and to register in CCR please access the following web site: http://www.ccr.gov/.
