- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, Grand Prairie, Texas intends to make a single award for Arts & Crafts Instructor Services. The service will be provided at the Metropolitan Detention Center at Road 165 and 28 Front of Plaza, San Juan, Puerto Rico 00922. The session length is 1 hour in duration and the estimated sessions per year is 750. The requirements for the contract include, but are not limited to the following: The Contractor shall provide Arts and Crafts Instruction. The contractor shall develop lesson objectives and plans, course outlines and prepare a viable curriculum. The contractor is required to have extensive knowledge in the areas of hand crafts such as card making, decoupage, basic sewing and any other art form deemed appropriate. Instructional methods are required to be equivalent to those found in the local public school system. The contractor shall provide a curriculum based on the standards established by the Bureau of Prisons. Services will be unsupervised, but will be monitored by an assigned contract monitor in accordance with Bureau of Prisons policy. The resulting contract will consist of a Base Year period that runs 12 consecutive months from the date of award with four 12-month option periods for renewal, if exercised. It is anticipated that the resulting contract will be an indefinite delivery requirements type contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The North American Industry Classification System code for this service is 611699 and the applicable small business size standard is $6M. The solicitation will be made available on or about February 12, 2004. Upon issuance, solicitation packages may be accessed electronically at this website. Hard copies of this solicitation will not be available as the site provides downloading instructions.
