- THE PURPOSE OF THIS MODIFICATION IS TO CHANGE THE QUANTITY RANGE AND TO CHANGE THE DUE DATE OF THE SOLICIATION. THE NEW BEQ WILL BE 167, WITH QUANTITY RANGES FROM 83-105, 106-130, 131-165, and 166-209. THE APPROXIMATE ISSUE DATE OF THE SOLICITATION WILL BE 9 FEB 2004. THE APPROXIMATE DUE DATE OF THE SOLICITATION WILL BE 8 MARCH 2004. THE APPROXIMATE AWARD DATE WILL BE 31 MAY 2004. The proposed contract is anticipated to be sole source to General Electric. NSN: 3110-01-506-9881PR, Part Number: 1963M67P01, Noun: CYLINDER ROLLER BEARING. Item Description: Cylinder Rolling Bearing is a 266A cylindrical inner ring and a cylindrical outer ring, separable. The bore shape is straight. The function of the cylindrical roller bearing is to provide antifriction surface between the HPT and LPT shafts. The dimensions of the ABXV bore are 4.6550 inches min and 4.6750 inches max. The ADGA overall outside diameter is 6.0650 inches min and 6.0655 max. The AGVT outer ring width is 1.1825 inches nominal and the AGVU inner ring 1.3000 inches max. The AGZD bore is straight. The material consists of steel comp M50 inner ring and steel comp 4340 retainer and steel comp MS0 roller. Appl: F110-100/B/129 Aircraft. Destination: FB2039. BEQ is 104, however, there will be quantity ranges from 52-68, 69-85, 86-103, and 104-130. Delivery: SEPT 2004. The approximate issue date of the solicitation will be 26 January 2004. The approximate response date of the solicitation will be 26 February 2004. The anticipated award date will be 30 April 2004. Written and electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation. No telephone requests. The solicitation must be printed from FedBizOps by the contractor. This office will not mail solicitations. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered. Note: While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price and past performance factors as detailed in the solicitation. Note: The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limited number of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a received request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Note: It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firm (s) listed. Note: Specifications, plans, or drawings relating to the procurement described are incomplete or not available and cannot be furnished by the Government. Note: Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government?s requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
