Description

The USDA, Animal and Plant Health Inspections Service (APHIS), National Veterinary Services Laboratory, (NVSL), Center for Veterinary Biologics Laboratory in Ames, Iowa, intends to acquire janitorial services. The Contractor shall be responsible for furnishing all equipment, labor, transportation, supplies, etc. necessary to perform janitorial services. Places of performance consist of four buildings. Services shall be performed between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 1:30 a.m., Monday through Friday, except National Holiday. THE CONTRACTOR'S FACILITY SHALL BE LOCATED WITHIN A 30 MILE RADIUS OF THE FOUR GOVERNMENT FACILITIES. Services to begin January 1, 2004, or date of award, whichever is later. It is the Governments intention to award a 1 year contract, with the option to extend the contract 4 additional years. Payment will be made in arrears. This procurement is set aside 100% for a small business. This is a firm fixed price contact. It is anticipated that a formal Solicitation/Request for Proposal (RFP) will posted in the USDA, APHIS, Minneapolis World Wide Web Site at: www.aphis.usda.gov/mpls/contract/cbd.html on or about October 15, 2003.
