- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) The Cooperative Studies Program Clinical Research Pharmacy Coordinating Center (CSPCRPCC), 2401 Centre Street, Albuquerque, NM 87104 has a requirement for Central Laboratory Services for a controlled clinical trial scheduled to begin in mid February 2004. Offerors must have demonstrated expertise and fast responsive service in performing laboratory tests, training of site personnel, providing technical support, reporting results, and quality control. Previous experience in performing each of the required tests is required. The central laboratory will be responsible for providing (1) all necessary sample packaging and shipment containers (including dry ice when required), (2) sample collection components and supplies, (3) shipment of sample collection components and supplies to study sites, (4) prepaid shipping documentation for the return of samples to the central laboratory, (5) site personnel instruction at the initial study meeting and at each study clinical site if necessary, (6) training manuals, (7) email and toll-free telephone technical support during normal business hours, (8) develop database for test results, (9) immediate fax and email notification to the study statistical center and to the Pharmacy Center if required, (10) monthly incremental and cumulative electronic transmission of test result data to the study Statistical Center in SAS format. It is anticipated that five VA clinical sites, to include 150 patients will participate in the study. Each patient will have lab samples drawn at three study visits. The proposed contract will be for a term of one base year from date of award with two (2) yearly renewal options pending availability of future fiscal year funds. The applicable NAICS code is 621511. The solicitation will be released on or about January 24, 2004. The solicitation will be available electronically at: http://www.bos.oamm.va.gov/cgi-bin/WebObjects/BosPublic.woa. Any amendments will be available at the same URL and offerors will be responsible for obtaining all amendments. Electronic offers will not be accepted. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered.
