- Description
- Additional Information: From the site visit: Air balance will not need to be done by the contractor. Clean out ports will need to be installed in the roof-top air handlers. Work will need to be done after 4:00 P.M. PST to 6:00 A. M. PST. The bid closing date is changing from 2 February 2004 to 4 February 2004 by 3:00 P.M. PST. All other terms and conditions of this solicitation remain the same. 1. Are the bag filters a fiberglass bag filter or a synthetic bag filter? Synthetic 2. The specs for the filters that we are to provide say that you are asking us to provide you with (60) 24X24X3/4 bag filters and (25) 12X24X3/4 bag filters. Unfortunately my filter supplier says that they don't make bag filters in that size. Can you please clarify the sizes for the bag filters and give us the proper sizes as well as the filter efficiency for the bag filters. There are 170 filters for the 6 roof-top air handlers: (60) 24x24x2, (25) 12x24x2, (60) 24x24x3/4 and (25) 12x24x3/4. The efficiency is 80% or greater. 3. Could you confirm that this modification is adding the licensing to cut sheet metal to the job requirements? (I have never heard of this being a requirement for a duct cleaning job before, so I just wanted to make sure.) What part of the job will require the cutting of sheet metal? The contractor must meet Part 1-Special Provisions A & B. Cutting the sheet metal will be required to enter the duct and to add cleaning ports throughout the duct. 4. What type of licenses will we need to get started? Please see 1.01(F) in the Statement of Work. 5. Can you confirm that we will be able to use resident aliens as well as citizens in our crew? Yes, as long as they are legal resident aliens.
