- Description
- This is a Performance-Based Contract with a Design Submittal. The purpose of this contract is to remove an emergency generator with its associated equipment and one Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) for Comm equipment. Replace the existing generator with the requirements described in Div. 16. Replace the existing Uninterruptible Power Supply with another UPS and a generator that is compatible with the existing load requirements. The contractor shall investigate the existing system and coordinate detail requirements with ISC San Pedro Engineering Dept. LCDR S. Osgood to determine all load requirements, and viable solution. Provide design consisting of specs and drawings for the recommended solution. Sixty days after Contract Award a final design will be submitted. Once the design is completed and approved a Construction Notice to Proceed (NTP) will be issued, and installation can begin. Construction will be completed within 90 days after the NTP is issued. Furnish all labor, material and equipment necessary to install new Emergency Generator Systems and UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) for USCG Integrated Support Command, San Pedro, CA. The new Generator-Systems shall have the following major components: Diesel Generators and its associated equipment such as Atomatic Transfer Switch or Manual Starter as required, Fuel Tank, Battery Charger, Load Banks, Controllers and outdoor enclosures, and rated as needed by the ISC San Pedro Engineering Office. The work includes but is not limited to the following: Investigate and develop the design plan and specifications for customer approval; Obtain environmental permits as required; Procure and install the new Generator-Systems; Furnish all labor materials, and equipment necessary to accomplish the work and test all functional operations; Perform load analysis to determine proper size of the new generators and and submit with plans and specifications during review. The estimated cost of this procurement is between $100,000 to $250,000 (CONSTRUCTION BIDS ONLY). Performance period is 150 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. This is set-aside for small business only. The applicable NAICS code is 238210. Small Business size standard is $12 million. All responsible sources are encouraged to respond.
