Description
NSN:8415-00-268-8262 (s), Jacket, Welder?s shall be made in accordance with A-A-55098, dated 04 December 1992. This acquisition is for a quantity of 672 EA with one (1) - 100 percent quantity option. The first delivery is to be 120 days after date of award, to Tracy, CA & New Cumberland, PA depots. FOB Destination. Inspection and Acceptance at Origin. One Product Demonstration Model of size Medium will be required along with each offer for evaluation. First Article Requirement: Two (2) samples of end product to be delivered to DSCP, through the government Quality Assurance Representative, for visual and dimensional examination 90 days AFTER DATE OF AWARD. This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set Aside. The anticipated issuance date of the solicitation is 12 February 2004. All responsible sources may submit offers, which DSCP shall consider. All materials used in the fabrication are to be furnished by the successful bidder. This solicitation will contain DOMESTIC RESTRICTIONS, which means all components and all manufacturing must be obtained/performed within the United States. All contractors MUST be registered in the CCR in order to be eligible for award. Availability of solicitations, FAR 5.102(d) applies, as our office no longer issues solicitations in paper form. Offeror should register to receive notification of this solicitation. Copies of this solicitation can be found on the DLA Procurement Gateway at http://progate.daps.mil/home AFTER 12 February 2004. From the Gateway home page, select ?Search RFQs? from the left-hand sidebar. Then choose the RFQ you wish to view. In addition, you can enter DSCP C&T FSCs and NSNs to receive notification of RFQs. The Gateway will send all registered users an e-mail notification of RFQ solicitations based on your FSC and NSN profile. The NSN notification will contain a link that can connect users directly to a digital copy of the solicitation on the Internet. The solicitations will be in a downloadable, printable format when viewed with an Adobe Acrobat Reader. Free software is available at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html. Gateway technical assistance is available at. admin_support@pgmail.daps.mil Important Note on Foreign Content The Defense appropriations and authorization acts and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as ?The Berry Amendment? impose restrictions on the DoD?s acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally, Clothing and Textile items (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7012) and ?specialty metals? (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7014) must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies.
