Description

PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office (SCRO), Grand Prairie, Texas, plans to issue IFB-10611-0004 for a fire protection upgrade which consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials to upgrade the existing fire protection system at the Federal Correctional Institution located in Butner, North Carolina. The work includes extensive replacement of post-indication valves and hydrants, extension of sprinkler coverage, removal of hose cabinets and replacement of fire control panels and annunicators. The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The solicitation will be available on or about February 26, 2004, with an anticipated bid opening date of April 1, 2004 at 2;00 p.m. local time. The solicitation will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will NOT be abvailable. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this solicitation, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. This is a 100% small business set-aside.
