Description

NSN: 1005-01-408-5905, Part Number 12976883. The item to procure is a Bipod Assembly consisting of: Head, Bipod(12976900), Cylinder, Actuating(12976903), Plunger, Retaining, Bipod(12976901), Bushing, Retaining Head Plunger(12976898), Spring, Helic al Compression(12976899), Pin, Spring, Tubular, Slotted(12976904), Leg,Right, Assy(12976884), Ring, Axis Pin, Leg(12976906), Nut, Axis Pin, Leg(12976907), Washer, Axis, Pin(12976908), Spring, Leg(12976905), Leg, Left, Assy(12976894), Pin, Axis, Leg, Bipod( 12976897), Head, Hinge, Body Bipod(12976902). Heavy Phosphate Coating is required IAW MIL-DTL-16232 and procedure must be approved by US Government. Requirements are 3,500 each. The proposed contract will be an IDIQ contract with three (3) Ordering Period s. Estimated issue date of solicitation is 20 February 2004. All or part of this action is an unfunded FY2004 requirement. This solicitation incorporates a Technical Data Package (TDP) that cannot be provided via the Internet. Vendors requiring this TD P to craft a viable proposal must first complete a Non-Use and Non-Disclosure Agreement that will be provided as an attachment to the Solicitation and available upon solicitation issuance. This properly completed agreement must be forwarded to the US Gove rnment POC noted in the solicitation prior to the release of the TDP. Any such request should include: the CAGE Code (if available), company name, POC, street address, city and zip code, along with a telephone number for the primary POC. A TDP will be s ent via surface mail upon receipt of a properly completed agreement. A License Agreement between FN Herstal SA and the US Government requires that the item be manufactured exclusively within the USA and Canada. This solicitation will be issued electronic ally in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the internet: https://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. Note 26 applies.
