Description

The Norfolk District Corps of Engineers, phone number (757)447-7736, is offering for sale approximately 1,020 tons of standing pine sawtimber, 24 tons of standing pine chip-and-saw, 427 tons of standing pine pulpwood, 68 tons of standing hardwood saw timber, and 105 tons of standing hardwood pulpwood on approximately 14 acres at Fort Pickett, Blackstone, Virginia. The total number of items for this sale is one (1). The timber to be sold may be inspected by prospective purchasers through January 30, 2 004. Arrangements for inspections should be made by contacting Mr. Paul Carter, telephone (434) 292-8428. Sealed bids will be accepted until 2:00 p.m., February 5, 2005, by the Acquisition, Management, and Disposal Section, Real Estate Branch, Norfolk Di strict, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, 803 Front Street, Norfolk, Virginia 23510-1096, and then and there publicly opened and announced. Forms for use in submitting bids may be obtained from Mr. Berggren at Fort A.P. Hill or from the Acquisition, Managemen t, and Disposal Section, address shown above. Terms and conditions of sale, procedure for submitting bids, and a description of the timber are contained in the bid forms. This sale will be sold by WEIGHT.
