Description
CONTACT INFO: To order a CD, interested firms may either: (1) fax requests complete with company information, shipping address, point of contact, phone number, fax number, and business size to Jani Long at 509/527-7802; (2) email requests with all o f the same information to jani.c.long@usace.army.mil; or (3) register via the Walla Walla Districts web page at http://www.nww.usace.army.mil/ebs/AdvertisedSolicitations.asp. If the web page is used, it is requested that registration be confirmed with eit her a fax or an email. The government cannot guarantee an offeror will be added to the offerors list if registration is not confirmed via email or fax. DESCRIPTION: SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS, INCLUDING DRAWINGS, WILL BE AVAILABLE ON CD ONLY. Install seven (7) Government furnished outdoor sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) gas circuit breakers rated 121 kV, 2000 amperes. Breakers will be three-pole, single-throw, fully automatic, outdoor dead tank type with single pressure interrupter units using the puffer princip le and with pneumatic, hydraulic, or spring operating mechanism. Remove and dispose of the associated conduit and control, power, instrumentation, and relaying wiring to the existing breaker control cabinet. Remove and dispose of the existing seven (7) o il circuit breakers including oil, bushings and breaker tanks. Furnish and install new molded-case air circuit breakers and operating mechanisms in the Government Unit Control Boards SU1, SU2 and SU3. Furnish and install new conduits from the existing tr ansformer deck conduits to the control cabinets of the new circuit breakers. Furnish, install, and test new cables for control, relaying, and power for the new circuit breaker. Remove and dispose of the excess existing circuit breaker oil in the project storage tanks, approximately 4500 gallons. All work to be completed by November 15, 2004. ADMIN INFO: Proposals will be evaluated on criteria specified in the solicitation. The estimated cost range for this job is between $250,000 and $500,000. THIS P ROCUREMENT IS UNRESTRICTED, OPEN TO BOTH LARGE AND SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS. The standard industrial classification code (SIC) is 1796 and the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238990. The small business size standard is averag e annual receipts for the previous three fiscal years must not exceed $12,000,000.00. In order for contractors to conduct business with the Department of Defense, the contractor must provide registration information to the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Contractors can access the CCR for free at http://www.ccr.gov. All responsible business sources may submit an offer, which may be considered.
