Description

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to procure on a sole source basis, a quantity of seventy (70) ACER Tablet PC?s, model number TMC104CTi, for the U.S. Joint Forces Command. The Government has made a determination that only ACER Tablet PC?s can satisfy U.S. Joint Forces Command requirements because only ACER can provid a tablet PC with an integrated CA reader capability along with a separate PCMCIA slot for wireless connectivity or for utilization of the NSA Secnet 11 encryption. This acquisition is being processed under FAR 13, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. The Government anticipates issuance of a firm fixed price purchase order.
