Description
This Synopsis has been Cancelled in its entirety. The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk, Washington Detachment, intends to award a contract to a vendor corporation for support to repair Bay doors used for the Navy Public Works Center Vehicle Maintenance Repair Facility. A preventive maintenance inspection was provided to identify all bay door areas with deficiencies. Repairs are to be made on the following: closed bay doors #3, 5, and 9. The following Doors are in operation but are in need of repairs # 1, 2, 4, 7, 8, 11-19, 21, and 22. The following services will be provided: 1. Replacement of existing deteriorating bay doors and parts. 2. Standard bay door features should include hp-208/230/460 volt three phase motor. 3. A heavy duty, gear reduced, commercial operator designed should be provide for use on rolling doors to 860 sq. ft. and rolling grilles to 740 sq. ft. 4. The proper bay Door installation should provide instant reversing with applicable optional reversing devices and automatic reset thermal overload. 5. The control circuit should be a 24V three-button "Open-Close-Stop" constant contact station. 6. Some Headplate and wall mount door drive are operated by chain and sprockets and should be replaced with the chain and sprockets. 7. Some bay area doors require replacement of manual pull chain on existing Edwards operator units and must be replaced with the Edward operator unit. 8. The new operative doors will be connected to existing power supply and door controls. 9. Upon completion of replacement doors, the selected vendor must be able to aligned, adjusted, lubricated and tested each door for compliance with the Navy Public Work Center door regulations. The selected vendor must also furnish the necessary material and labor needed for bringing each door up to the PWC site compliance. This request is for Full and Open Competition. The SIC Code is 2431. Solicitation number N00600-04-R-0219 will be available approximately 29 January 2004 and can be downloaded from http://www.neco.navy.mil. The solicitation may be processed following normal commercial item procedures. The Government may award on initials.
