- Description
- A Small Business Set-Aside Contract for Transcription Services is anticipated by the Augusta, VA Medical Center located at 1 Freedom Way, Augusta, GA 30904-6285 for the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center located at 700 South 19th Street, Birmingham, AL 35242, Medical Administrative Service. Estimated contract period of servcies is anticipated to be February 27, 2004 through February 25, 2005 with four(4) one(1) year options to renew and if all options are excersised the contract expiration date will be February 25, 2009. NAICS Code 561410 with Size Standard of 6.0 Million. A Firm Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery contract is anticipated. Contractor shall be required to provide medical transcription services for dictated material which includes highly technical terminology and requires a comprehensive (minimum of 3 years) knowledge of specialized vocabularies. The specialized vocabularies will encompass a variety of subjects in the field of medicine and surgery such as: general surgery, anesthesiology, vascular surgery, thoracic surgery, urology, otorhinolaryngology, plastic surgery, oral surgery, orthopedics, ophthalmology, gynecology, radiology, nuclear medicine, internal medicine, pulmonary medicine, gastroenterology, endocrinology, rheumatology, nephrology, oncology, hematology, geriatrics, psychiatry, neurology, pathology, neurosurgery, spinal cord injury, and ambulatory care. Medical reports to be transcribed will include the following but are not limited to:Outpatient Progress Notes/Consultations, Neurology Reports (EEG, EMG, Dopplers) Lay Letter.
