Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items. The solicitation number is Q1730040640 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is for Kiln dried Southern Yellow Pine and Manufactured Wood/polymer composite lumber per #4 below. 1. This is a total small business set aside. The NAICS code is 444190. The size standard is 500 employees. 2. The quotes will be evaluated on price and time for delivery with price being more important. 3. LUMBER a. All structural Lumber listed below to be Kiln dried, Southern Yellow Pine, recommended for long term outdoor use, treated with Copper Quartenary Based Preservative. Lumber containing Chromated Copper Arsenate (CAA-C) will NOT be accepted. Lumber to be of the dimensions requested. i. Line item 1. 4" x 6" x 8' quantity 714 each. ii. Line item 2. 2" x 6" x 16', Quantity 303 each. b. Manufactured wood/polymer composite lumber, suitable for exterior use in surface application on decks and boardwalks with the following minimum physical and chemical properties: Appearance: Solid; Color: Light Brown fades to light Gray; Melting Point: C (F) >110 (230); Flash Point C (F) >370 (698), Auto Flammability 395 (743); Relative Density 15/4C 0.96); Relative Density 15/4 C:0.96,; Solubility in Water: Negligible; must comply with National and State Building Codes. i. Line item 3. 2" x 6" x20', Quantity 815 each. 4. The contractor must include the number of days for delivery of the order from the time the order is placed. 5. Delivery: Cape Cod National Seashore, 99 Marconi Site Road, Wellfleet, MA 02667. 6. FOB Destination. 7. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circulars 19, effective 1/01/04 and Circular 18, effective 1/12/04. 8. Provisions incorporated into the solicitation by reference. a. 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, applies to this acquisition and a statement regarding any addenda to the provision. b. Evaluation of quotes will be based on price and time for delivery. Price is more important. c.
