- Description
- The Department of the Navy, Fleet and Industrial Supply Center-Jacksonville, FL (FISC JAX), intends to solicit proposals for services and supplies in support of the upgrade of the Master Security System located at FISC JAX, Naval Air Station, Jacksonville, FL. The services will include upgrading the security system at the following FISC Jacksonville detachments and associated operating facilities; Naval Weapons Station, Charleston, SC, Naval Air Station at Ingleside, Kingsville and Corpus Christi, TX, Naval Air Station, Mayport and Jacksonville, FL and Blount Island Terminal. The system The Security System must be compatible with the Lenel System, which is proprietary to Best Access System. The Security Data System must comply with Navy and Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) Connection Requirements. This acquisition will be conducted under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 561621, with a small business size standard of $10.5 million. A Firm Fixed Price Contract is contemplated. The Contracting Officer reserves the right to award to other than the lowest price offeror in accordance with the best value criteria stated in the solicitation. The Government intends to use FAR Part 12 for the acquisition. The government anticipates issuing the solicitation package on or about 10 December 2003. The contractor or any interested parties are responsible for obtaining the solicitation, amendments and any other documentation from the Federal Business Opportunities Website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov or http: www.eps.gov. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the agency. Potential offerors may submit written request for the solicitation via e-mail. Request must cite the solicitation number and provide the requestor?s name, address, phone number, fax number and e-mail address. Only electronic copies of the solicitation and amendments will be provided to these contractors via e-mail. Contractor must also be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database in order to be eligible to receive a contract. The CCR website is: http://www.ccr2000.com.
