- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in the notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. (ii) Solicitation FA4800-04-T-0006 is issued as a Commercial Solicitation using Simplified Acquisition Procedures found in FAR Part 13. Written documentation will not be issued for this quote. (iii) The solicitation is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) FAR Part 13. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-18. It is the contractor?s responsibility to be familiar with applicable clauses and provisions. (iv)This acquisition will be set-aside 100% for small businesses. The NAICS code is 333611 with a number of 1,000 employees. (v) 1 ?Caterpillar diesel packaged generator set model 3406 with brushless generator, 300kW standby at 0.8P.F, 277/480 Volt, 3 Phase, 60 hertz at 1800 RPM to include the following attachment and accessories: Formed steel base and vibration isolators; Caterpillar VR6 Automatic Digital Voltage regulator; Isochronous Woodward electronic governor; Engine mounted radiator with blower fan; exhaust silencer, critical grade roof mounted on the enclosure with extension pipe to put exhaust air into radiator air stream and rain cap; electric starting system, 24 volt DC; Battery, lead acid; Battery rack and cables; battery charger, 10 Ampere, 120 Volt AC input; battery Charging Alternator and regulator; Dual jacket water heaters, 3Kw each, 120/240 volt AC, 1 phase; lube oil and antifreeze; weather protective enclosure with doors and locks, radiator exhaust hoot to direct radiator exhaust air ?Straight Up?, all painted Langley AFB brown; Generator control panel, CAT EMCPII digital, generator mounted with the following: Panel illumination light group; engine oil press & water temperature gauges, battery system voltmeter, running time meter, AC ammeter, voltmeter, & frequency meter, phase selector switch, voltage adjustment, engine automatic cranking and starting system with control selector switch and cycle crank, engine fault indicating system with failure lights for low oil pressure, high water temperature, over speed, over-crank, and low water lever; NFPA 99 alarm module in the control panel or equal. (vi) n/a (vii) The date of delivery shall be no later then 45 days ARO (After Receipt of Order) or sooner to 1 CES, 37 Sweeny Blvd; Langley AFB, VA 23665-2091; FOB Destination. Responsibility and Inspection: Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the supplier is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements and Quality Control. (viii) The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors ? Commercial, applies to this acquisition. (ix) The Government will award a firm-fixed price purchase order resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: cost/price. (x) Offerors are reminded to include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items with its offer.
