- This Sources Sought Request information required prior to release of any resultant solicitation. The information in this sources sought notification is based on the best and most current information available to date. This information subject to change and is not binding on the Government. Updated information will be provided in subsequent synopsis, if required. The Bureau of Reclamation is seeking potential HUBZone small business concerns capable of providing all labor, tools, equipment, transportation, and facilities necessary to demolish and remove the existing CMP culvert (Bucktail Bridge Site) and railroad flatcar bridges (Poker Bar Bridge Site) located on the Trinity River, in Trinity County, California. Principal features of the work include: Controlling water during construction; maintaining access for residents during construction. Poker Bar Bridge Site - Removing and disposing of existing railroad flatcar bridges, decks, and railing containing lead-based paint; removing pressure treated timber; removing steel jacketed caissons, removing H-pile abutments, and miscellaneous concrete; designing, constructing, maintaining and removing temporary bridge crossings; excavating and constructing reinforced concrete foundations and abutments; constructing reinforced concrete drilled shafts at bridge abutments; designing, fabricating, furnishing, and installing steel truss bridges; constructing reinforced concrete bridge decks; furnishing and placing rock slope protection. Bucktail Bridge Site - Removing and replacing riprap and fence; removing existing CMP culvert; constructing reinforced concrete foundations for structural plate arch; furnishing and installing structural place arch; placing spawning gravel in the CMP arch invert. Constructing roadway embankment; furnishing and placing gravel surfacing, aggregate base course, asphalt concrete pavement and guardrail; regarding existing bridge sites and excavating for wetland mitigation; and disposing of all removed materials off-site. HUBZone small business concerns that feel they can furnish the required construction are invited to submit in writing an affirmative response to this announcement. An affirmative response to include a narrative of your capabilities in accomplishing other projects of a like or similar nature. Affirmative responses must be received by this office no later than the close of business on February 09, 2004. Lack of interest in this acquisition will result in the requirement being solicited pursuant to "Full and Open Competition".
