Description
This is a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for commercial items prepared per the format in Subpart 12, as supplemented with additional information included this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested from interest parties for the procurement of the following equipment and services: The American Embassy in Nassau, Bahamas is seeking bids for three (3) each 250 HP High Pressure Evinrude (Or Equal) Outboard Engines with direct injection, one (1) with 30 inch shaft (Regular rotation) and Two (2) with 25 inch shaft (1 Counter and 1 Regular Rotation); one (1) each Hydraulic Steering System with two cylinders, installation of new engines and steering system and trials for final acceptance. These materials and installation services are required for a Royal Bahamas Police Go-Fast Avenger Patrol Boat currently located in Freeport, Grand Bahama. The Avenger Patrol Boat is currently fitted with Evinrude Model J250 FPX 250 HP carburated outboards engines and will possibly require like Evinrude models to avoid additional expenses for rigging boat to accept a different make of engines. Vendor is requested to bid replacement engines on an exchange basis giving credit for engines being replaced. New engines are to be provided with a 3 year non-declining warranty. The following Provisions and Clauses are incorporated into this RFQ by reference and are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. No addenda apply to these Provisions and Clauses. FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial Items, FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certifications - Commercial Items, FAR 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items, FAR 52-212-5, Contract Terms and conditions required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items; FAR 52.246-15, (APR 1984), Certificate of Conformance. No additional FAR clauses apply. The contractor will be required to ship to and provide installation services in Freeport, Grand Bahama or make other arrangements for completion of stated requirements. All material and service pricing shall be quoted FOB Freeport, Grand Bahama. Please provide proposal for the above requirement by 12:00 PM February 18, 2004.
