- Description
- The contractor will provide necessary supervised labor and materials for secured storage of privately owned vehicles and related services under orders issued from time to time by the ordering officer. POV Storage services are contingent upon deploym ent requirements; therefore there is no guaranteed minimum or maximum number of POVs to be stored or the length of time the storage of the POVs will be required. the Contractor shall be prepared to process 400 vehicles daily, seven days a week, until the s urge is completed at which time the Contractor, with Government approval, can reduce to the staffing needed to continue storages services and to provide security for the POVs. The Contractor must provide at no additional cost to the Government a shuttle s ervice to and from the POV drop-off and pick-up location to be designated on main Fort Hood. The Contractors storage site/s must be within a 10-15 mile radius of Fort Hood. Specific numbers of vehicles requiring storage cannot be determined and specific dates of drop-off and pick-up dates cannot be established. This action will be conducted as a commercial service acquisition in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 14. This procurement is 100% set aside for small businesses. The solicitation action will be an Invitation for Bid. The resultant contract will be a Firm Fixed Price Requirements Contract with a base year beginning 01 April 2004 through 31 March 2004, with four (4) one-year option periods. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 493190. The small business size standard is $5 million average gross revenue of the concern for the last three (3) fiscal years. The solicitation will be issued electronically on or after 17 Feb 2004 with an anticipated closing date of 29 Feb 2004 and will be available for viewing at the following websites: http://ccmd.hood.army.mil or http://abop.monmouth.army.mil. Anyone wishing to participate in this procurement must obtain a copy from one of the websites. No paper copies of the solicitation will be mailed. Contractors will be solely responsible for obtaining amendments from the websites and updating their files. Telephone re quest will not be honored. All interested offerors who can perform the capabilities of providing POV Secured Storage Services must respond prior to the closing date of the solicitation to be considered for award.
