Description

The project consists of Construct a new 2,602 SM Squadron Operations facility to support HH-60 Combat Search and Rescue Mission (CSAR) at Davis-Monthan, AFB, Arizona. The facility will consolidate administration, flight operations, maintenance, and deployment storage for the HH-60 Squadron into the building. The project includes the demolition of an existing 585 SM warehouse on the site and construction of a pre-engineered metal building replacement warehouse at another site. The site work involves constructing new concrete rigid pavement, a parking lot, sidewalks, landscaping and a retention pond. This is an Unrestricted Procurement; therefore, all responsible sources may submit a bid. The Los Angeles District subcontracting goals are specific per centages of the contractor??????s total planned subcontract amounts. The goals are as follows: 62% with small business, 10% with small disadvantaged business, 5% with women owned small business, 3% with veteran owned small business and 2.5% with hub-zone small business, In addition all interested contractors are reminded that the successful contractor will be expected to place subcontracts to the maximum practicable extent with the small and disadvantaged firms in accordance with the provisions of Public L aw 95-507. Please note that there are special instructions pertaining to hand delivered bids. These special instructions can be viewed on the Los Angeles District Contracting Division website and they will also be available in Section 00100 of the adverti sed solicitation. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236210, Industrial Building Construction, $28.5 M average annual gross revenue for the last three (3) fiscal years. Estimated cost range of the project is between $5,000,0 00.00. and $10,000,000.00 dollars. The solicitation will be made available on or about 19 February 2004. The Government intends to issue this solicitation and all amendments though the use of the Internet (WEB ONLY). No additional media (CD ROMs, Flop py Disks, Faxes, or paper) will be provided unless the Government determines that it is necessary. All bidders are required to check the Los Angeles District Contracting Division website daily to be notified of any changes to this solicitation.
