Description
This is a Request for Information/Sources Sought Notice for market research purposes. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing is seeking businesses that can provide calibration and maintenance of various instruments and tools, with certification traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Respondents must be capable of tracking, scheduling, calibrating, repairing and issuing official certification records that meets or exceeds the minimum requirements set forth by ISO Quality Standards. Vendors responding must have the capabilities to calibrate the following types of instruments and tools: 1. Dial Indicators; 2. Temperature Gauges; 3. Steel Rulers; 3. Micrometers; 4. Radius Gauge sets; 5. Screw Gauge Sets; 6. Levels; 7.Angle Gauge sets; 8. Pressure Gauges; 9. Voltmeter; 10. Amp meters; 11. Hardness Tester; and 12. Humidifiers. Vendors must also be capable of calibrating all other tools associated with the following equipment: 1. Electronic Discharge Machinery; 2. Laser Marker System; 3. Chrome and Nickel Tanks; 4. CNC machines; and 5.Granite tables. Interested vendors should submit their capability statement to provide the services described herein. Documentation of technical expertise must be presented in sufficient detail (not more than 4 pages total) for the Government to ascertain your capability and experience. Interested vendors must use Reference Number BEP-2004-09-01 to identify submissions under this RFI/Sources Sought the vendors must identify their business size (small, small-disadvantaged, hub-zone, large, etc.) in accordance with North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 811219, Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance; the Small Business Size Standard is not more than $6,000,000 in annual average receipts.
