Opening/Closing Response Date: Anticipated RFP release date is between October 1 and October 15, 2003. Closing date will be 30 to 45 days thereafter. 11. Description: This proposed procurement is part of a trio of contracts that the CDC intends to award to seamlessly manage and integrate its responses to inquiries about public health issues. Please also closely review the procurement packages for 2003-N-00996 and 2003-N-00997. The purpose of this contract will be to provide a unified, full range of health information management services across all communication channels or touch points by employing a customer “contact center” approach. Operations include the staffing and management of necessary agent support, utilizing contact center standard operation procedures, establishment of contact center facilities, and the implementation of the technology infrastructure required to support application software and connectivity services. Furthermore, the operations will be supported by business continuity and contingency plans to ensure minimal disruption of service. The underlying technology utilized will capitalize on evolving, leading-edge functionality; be flexible in design to adjust to fluctuations in call volumes; and accommodate necessary expansion to include all CDC programs. This contact center should utilize industry best practices to promote efficient operations. 18.
