Description

The U.S. National Arboretum (USNA), a 446-acre facility located at 3501 New York Avenue, NE, Washington, DC. Has a requirement for a food service vendor providing limited food service for the visiting public on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and holidays for the period starting April through October. Hours of operation are 11:00a.m through 4:00 p.m. Food service is needed for the visiting public, special events, private parties, and box lunches for tour groups and meetings throughout the year. the North American Industry Classification System (Naics) Code is 72233. The USNA is a location of the Agricultural Research Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture. Over 500,000 people visit the outdoor gardens and collections each year, with predominant visitation in the spring. Additionally, numerous organizations whose mission is consistent with the U. S. National Arboretum use the facilities for meetings, events, and plant sales. The USNA is open to visitors every day of the year except December 25. The hours of operation are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The USNA is a world-class Arboretum and desires to provide food service that complements and enhances the uniqueness, refinement and enjoyment of the Arboretum experience. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR A FEDERAL CONTRACT and therefore not governed by Federal procurement procedures. The solicitation will be available on or about February 12, 2004 with a due date of March 17, 2004. A site visit of the facility is being offered, March 2, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. Interested offerors should arrive at the Administration Building Lobby promptly at 10:30 a.m. to meet for the tour. Evaluation is based on past performance, experience, financial consideration, menu variety/pricing, and oral presentation.
