Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to make a single award, to a qualified small business for the provision of solid waste removal services for the United States Penitentiary (USP Big Sandy), located at 1197 Airport Road, Inez, Kentucky 41224. The contract period shall consist of a base period from date of award through 12 months and four one-year option periods for renewal that will total sixty months from the date of award (if all option periods are exercised). Estimated yearly contract requirements include: (1) Rental fee for two, 30 cubic yard self-contained compactors, (2) Rental fee for one, 30 cubic yard open-top roll off container (3) Pull fees for self-contained compactors at an estimated 156 Pulls/year, (4) Pull fees for open-top 30 cubic yard container unit at an estimated 104 Pulls/year, (5) Kentucky Highway Use Tax and (6) estimated cost for pull charges that are in addition to the scheduled pulls. All services provided must be in accordance with applicable solid waste disposal codes and regulations. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code is 562111, with a small business size standard of $10.5 million. The solicitation will be made available on or about February 20, 2004 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administrations Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. This site provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through the referenced website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date for receipt of quote is on or about March 19, 2004. This procurement will be a 100% small business setaside. All responsible small business sources are encouraged to submit a quotation which will be considered for award.
