Description
Provide professional Architect/Engineering services to restore and rehabilitate existing personnel elevators in Bldg. 205 and 206, wheelchair lifts outside of Chapel and a new personnel elevator Bldg. 209 at the Department of Veterans Affairs, Medical and Regional Office Center, Togus, Maine. Prepare construction plans, specifications, prepare cost estimate and design development program for subject project. Complete and submit a preliminary investigation to verify the project scope and current working estimate to include alternatives for reuse of existing components and/or systems as appropriate. Provide construction supervision services to include review of submittals/shop drawings and three (3) site visits to assist the VA during the construction phase of the project. Estimated construction cost is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. Design completion time is 90 calendar days from contract award, with reviews at 35%, 75% and 100%. Standard Design criteria established for the Veterans Affairs facilities to be followed are available at www.va.gov/facmg/ae. Construction completion time will be 365 calendar days with construction start time approximately 8/1/04 and completion time of 7/31/05. Area of consideration is restricted to A/E firms in Maine and New Hampshire. A/E firms which meet the requirements listed in this announcement are invited to submit two (2) copies of Standard Form 254 and 255 by close of business February 25, 2004. NAICS code 541330 applies. No bid packages are available. This is not a request for proposal.
