Description

The Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR), Arlington, VA, intends to solicit and award a sole source, Firm-Fixed Price contract under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1 to Dr. Edward Feigenbaum. This proposed contract action is for non-personal services. The proposed contract provides the Asian Office of Aerospace Research and Development (AOARD) with a world-recognized expert in the field of computer science and artificial intelligence. The individual shall be tasked/contracted to accomplish scientific liaison and technology assessment within the Asian Rim. The selected individual must possess a broad background in computer science and artificial intelligence and substantial professional ties in Asia that will enable him or her to work effectively. The contractor will provide AOARD with new ideas for productive research and ties to potential collaborators within the Air Force and within Asia. The contractor will be required to travel to Tokyo, Japan and/or other areas as needed. All responses must be received in this office not later than 4:00 pm EST (Eastern Standard Time) on 20 Feb 04 in order to be considered. The anticipated award date will be 25 Feb 04.
