- Description
- Pre-Solicitation Notice: Project YTPM 00-3009 consists of the replacement of portions of an existing 5KV aerial primary electrical distribution system with a new underground system complete with PVC and Rigid Galvanized Steel conduits, 15KV cabling, 15KV Load Interrupter Switches, manholes, splices and system cutover. The system will operate on 5KV but will be ready to operate when the system is upgraded to a 15KV power distribution system. Also included is the removal and disposal of the replaced aerial system including all cabling, utility poles and appurtenances. The below ground portion of the utility poles are coated with creosote. The soil around the poles is to be tested for creosote contamination and proper disposal as necessary. The poles are required to be recycled. The copper and aluminum from the existing aerial cabling shall also be recycled to the extent available. NOTE: THIS SOLICITATION IS BEING ISSUED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE SMALL BUSINESS COMPETITIVE DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM. Replies to this notice are requested from all qualified contractors, sub-contractors and suppliers. Bid issue on or about 10 March 2004. Bid opening on or about 9 April 2004. Performance period shall be 120 calendar days. Estimated cost of construction is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The SIC (Standard Industrial Classification) Code is 1731. The NAICS (North American Industry Classification System) code is 238210.The small business size standard applicable to this project is $12,000,000.00. Telephone requests will not be honored.
