Description
The Maryland Veterans Affairs Health Care System, Baltimore Division, Baltimore MD is seeking an Architect/Engineering Firm capable of providing professional multi-disciplinary A/E services to include in- house expertise in the healthcare planning and design(specifically design of out patient clinics). the firm may have in house or joint venture expertise in the related Engineering Diciplines (Civil, Architecture, Enviornmental, Mechanical, Fire Protection, Vertical Transportation and Structural). To be considered the firm must have one partner of the firm or officer of the corporation duly licensed to practice engineering and/or architecture in one of the 50 United States. Firms should have previuos experience with design and construction of outpatient clinics in an active medical center. The Loch Raven Project will expand the existing Loch raven Community Based outpatient Clinic Building. The proposed location should be adjacent and connected to the existing structure and allow for optimization of the shared space and operating resources. New construction will provide approximately 18,000 square feet of additional exam/treatment rooms, offices, waiting room, and support space for appox. 19 additional providres. The estimated construction range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.00. All interested firms must have working offices within 200 miles of the VA Baltimore Medical Center. The following Evaluation Criteria will be used during the A/E Selection Process: (1) Specialized Experience and technical competence in the design of outpatient clinics: (2) Specialized experience and technical competence in the design of hospital elevator systems: (3) Professional qualifications: (4) Capacity for timely accomplishment of the work:(5) Past Performance:(6) Geographic Location: and (7) Volume of previously awarded contracts. The intent is to award a contract to a firm with specialized experience in design of outpatient clinics:construction in an active tertiary care medical center: and Healthcare elevator design.
