- Description
- The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), the Department of Defense Medical School and Heath Sciences University, intends to solicit and award a contract to a certified Small Business Administration 8(a) contractor to provide custodial services to include all necessary management, supervision, labor, materials, supplies, equipment and services to USUHS, Armed Forces Radiobiology Research Institute (AFRRl), and various out buildings on the campus. All 8(a) contractors must provide a certification letter of their 8(a) status. This service shall be for a period of three (3) months for the base period and four (4) consecutive additional option periods of one year each. The period of performance will be Base Period: 01 July 2003 through 30 September 2003, Option Year 1: 01 October 2003 through 30 September 2004, Option Year 2: 01 October 2004 through 30 September 2005, Option Year 3: 01 October 2005 through 30 September 2006, Option Year 4: 01 October 2006 through 30 September 2007. The work for this project consists of but not limited to routine custodial cleaning, waxing, stripping, mopping, vacuuming of floors, dusting, restroom cleaning, trash removal, and recycling. Contractor will also be working in areas of research laboratories, medical school laboratories and anatomy laboratory. NAICS 56172. Telephone requests will not be honored. Ensure your request clearly identifies the complete mailing address to which the solicitation should be sent, in addition to a point of contact, phone number and fax number. All questions must be made in writing and requested either by fax or mail. As of 31 May 1999 all Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database as a condition for contract award. Contractors may register in the CCR through the World Wide Web at http://www.ccr.gov/or call the CCR Assistance Center at 1-888-227-2423.
