Description

The Social Security Administration requires services of a contractor to provide all management, supervision, labor, materials, tools and equipment to efficiently and satisfactorily remove and replace existing cove base in designated areas on floors 5th and 6th at the Harold Washington Social Security Center, 600 West Madison Street, Chicago, Illinois 60661. This requirement is for commercial item services in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 and will be conducted using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. All potential contractors and employees will be required to pass a security requirements check before beginning performance of any contract. Potential contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of any contract. The solicitation package SSA-RFQ-05-04-0010 will be available for downloading on or about February 24, 2004 at the www.fedbizopps.gov website. NO HARD COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION PACKAGE WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE. A site visit is scheduled for Wednesday, March 10, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. Chicago time at the HWSSC building, 600 West Madison Street, Chicago, Illinois. Information about the site visit may be obtained by calling Stanley Evans, at 312-575-5544.b Offers are due on March 24, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. Chicago time. This requirement is a 100% small business set-aside. Offers received from other than small business concerns will be rejected and will not be eligible for award.
